RULES
Briefly
- Players make moves by turn, trying to seize opponent's artefact
- Bugs crawl, climb, fly, jump, fight, seize and defend bases and artefacts
- Bases produce bugs
Prepare
To start playing you'll need:
- Battlefield
- 2 or more players with their bug teams (team = artefact + bases + bugs of one race)
- Any number of «Places for bases» cards
- Ruler for measuring bugs' movement. Step size of the ruler may differ from game to game depending on your decision or tournament regulations
- Dice cards – small cards with black bugs on one side (
). Before you begin playing, decide how many dice cards you will use. The more cards the faster the game - Money tokens. You can use coins, buttons or any other small stuff. Or just write everything down
Battlefield
You can play everywhere you want and all the stuff on the field will be obstacles for bugs.
If you want to use walls as a battlefield, you may attach something sticky (double sided tape, special office gum or bubble gum) at the back side of artefacts, bases and bugs. Your opponent should do the same, so that you won't take an advantage.
We suppose it's not good to use battlefields that give advantage to one of players (for example because of his height). But in that case he can help his opponent.
Dice cards
Throw dice cards (
) just like you throw a dice. Number of cards that fall the bug side up is the number you throw. Sometimes it's zero – next player's turn.
Card types
Place for base – card with a cross. You put these cards on the battlefield before the game starts. They show places where players can build their bases when their bugs reach them (see Bases).
Bugs – use them to crawl, fight, seize artifacts and bases.
Artefacts – each team has one artefact. When the opponent's bug seizes it, the player loses the game (see Artefact). You put artefact cards on the battlefield before the game starts.
Bases – they produce bugs. There are three types of bases (they produce different quantity of money). Player can put his base on «Place for base» if his bug reaches it. He can also seize opponent's bases (see Bases).
Game
Goal
The goal is to defeat all opponents.
The player is defeated when the opponent's bug seizes his artefact.
Beginning
Put cards on the battlefield:
- Each player should have an artefact and at least one bug. The number of bugs may be bigger. Count the number of money: equal price means equal teams
- Also you can put «places for bases». Be careful – don't give an advantage to any player
Decide who will make the first move (just throw dice cards). Then players make their moves clockwise (or any other way if you don't sit at the table).
Move
1. Player begins his move by throwing dice cards to see the number of bugs and bases that will take part in this move
- All bugs selected for this move may crawl, attack, seize bases and artefacts (see Bugs)
- All selected bases produce money and bugs

three bugs on dice cards – three or less bugs or bases takes part in this move
2. First baes produce money and bugs, then bugs crawl and attack (if player wants to attack)
3. Other players defend (see Bugs – defend)
Bugs
Move
Bug may crawl (jump or fly) no more then it's written on his card (move length
). Use ruler to measure it.
You can't turn the bug card while moving.

Don't turn the card while moving
- The bug may stop everywhere his card can stand (on surface, hold and so on). If you use sticky backs then it can be even a wall
- If the bug can't stand at the end of it's way, it should stop earlier – where it can stand
- If a bug card falls down while the opponent's move. The bug starts its movement from new position
- One player's bugs can intersect with each other or the player's artefact and bases (in that case the bugs defend the artefact or base)
- All bugs can climb on walls or other obstacles (unless it's written that they can't)
- Some bugs can jump (
). Height of the jump can't be bigger then a half of their move length - Some bugs can fly (
). Height of the flight can't be bigger then ther move length - If there's a gap or a hole on the bug's way it can either crawl or fall down. The bug can fall down from any height, but you can't controll the falling – only turn the card over if the bug falls on his back
If there's an obstacle on the bug's way, it can crawl around or over it, jump over it (if it can jump) or fly over it (if it can fly).
a + b + c <=
a + b + c + d + e <=
jump: h <=
/ 2
flight: h <=

fall: h – any height
Attack
If your bug runs into the opponent's bug (while moveng or at the end of the move), it can attack.
- The bug is not obliged to attack, it can continue moving, but in this case the oppontnt's bug may start the fight (see Bugs – defence)
- If a bug starts its move intersecting with an opponent's bug it may either move or attack. But in this case if it does'n want to attack, the opponent's bug can't defend. It should wait for it's turn and attack
- After a fight (if a bug survives), it can't continue moving until the next turn even if it has some way to go
Fight
Every bug has attack (
) and defence (
) parameters.
- If the attack of the bug is bigger or equal to his opponent's defence, the opponent dies
- If there are more then one bug in a fight, the bug's owner decides how do the bugs attack. Several bugs may attack one (their attack parameters summerize). One bug may attack several (his attack parameter devides into several parts)
- All damage are made at the same time. It means that even if a bug dies, it makes damage first
At the end of a player's move all the damage given to all bugs is reduced to zero.
Defence
If an opponent's bug, while making it's move, bumps into your bug and doesn't want to attack, you may decide to start the fight. The fight is similar to the fight in case of an opponent's attack.
If an opponent's bug starts its move intersecting with your bug (for example, after a fight), you can't defence – wait for your turn and then attack.

If a bug is on it's opponent's way, it can defence
Defending artefact or base
To defend your artefact (or a base), reach it with your bug. After that the bug is put to its center.

Just reach an artefact or a base with your bug to defend it
- Any number of bugs may defend an artefact (or a base)
- Protected artefact (or base) can't be seized
Artefact
Seize
To seize your oponent's artefact your bug should reach it and kill all its defenders. After the artefact is seized: remove it and all its owner's bugs, then replace all its owner's bases with your bases of the same type (saved money is lost).
Defence
See Bugs – defence.
Bases
Create and seize
If your bug reaches a «Place for base», you can put your base there.
If your bugs reaches an opponent's base and kills all its defenders, put your base of the same type instead the seized base (saved money is lost).
Your new base starts working the next turn.
Defence
See Bugs – defence.
Producing bugs
Bugs are produced on bases
- In one move base can produce some money (
) - It makes money only if you decided that this base takes part in this move
- Produced money may be saved for future to make a bug you want (to count money use money tokens, coins or write it down)
- Different bases save money separately
- Every bug has it's price (
) - A bug may be produced when you have enough money (it appears in the same player's move)
- New bug appears in the center of the base and automatically defends it
- The next turn it may start moving
That's all, folks!
